Case Studies & Testimonials

Case 1

After a particularly acrimonious divorce our client was to be left with debts of over £110,000 unsecured debts in the form of seven credit cards and four loans. He was also required to retain the family home for his then wife and their three children.

We assisted in the fundraising, which could only generate £40,000 to meet the debts and our fees. We settled all the above loans and credit cards on a 25p-30p/£ basis over 18 months. The only blemishes on the gentleman's credit rating were two Default Notices.

Case 2

After the bereavement of his sister our client sought to settle her Estate but experienced problems with the level of debt, a disputed Will and unknown debts. The debts in the form of credit cards and loans totalled some £73,100.

We determined exactly what the position was in respect of the deceased's indebtedness and were given £20,000, with a view to settling these debts whilst the on going Will dispute was dealt with by the solicitors. The debts were settled across the board at 20p-25p/£.

Case 3

Our client was an international businessman who was unfortunately bankrupted by a bank that sought recompense from our client after they foreclosed on a loan he had with them for the purchase of a ship. They also sought to seize property owned by his wife and used a renowned City firm of Solicitors and a "big 5" firm of accountants to deal with our client's affairs. They charged fees of over £130,000 to our clients Bankruptcy Estate. They would also not discharge our client from his Bankruptcy.

We secured the discharge six weeks after it was due. We also obtained confirmation that our client's wife's property was indeed her own and reduced the Estate fees charged to £75,000, realising for our clients £35,000 by way of a refund.

Case 4

Our client was given poor advice when he was advised to enter into an IVA, whereby he was to repay his creditors some £45,000 in full over five years plus interest and on going fees. Our client after 18 months struggled to meet this commitment and the Supervisor in the case was to Petition for the client's bankruptcy.

We prevented the Bankruptcy, settled the outstanding amount on the IVA by injecting £12,000, from a relative, into the scheme and the IVA was deemed to be satisfied leaving our client to get on with his affairs without recourse and the continual fees accumulating in the IVA.

Case 5

Our client's company suffered a large bad debt due the failure of a plc client. This left our client with a PG to the Bank for £50,000 and accumulated personal debts totalling £25,000, the bulk of which was obtained to finance the business. Our client was able to generate £32,500 from a re-mortgage.

We settled both the personal loan and the PG at 33p/£ and this enabled our client to start again in his specialised field and all this was achieved in six months.

* We have our client's authority to supply documentary evidence of the results achieved in this case if proof is required.
